In the current context of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and Luxembourg's state of emergency, the City of Luxembourg has announced that it is cancelling all sporting and cultural events planned between now and June 2020.

Following the Chamber of Deputies' approval of the extension of the current state of emergency for up to three months, all sporting and cultural events and activities in the capital have been cancelled for the duration of this period. This new measure concerns events organised by the City of Luxembourg as well as by external partners or organisers.

In this context, this year's edition of the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg and the Roll & Run, scheduled for 23 May have been cancelled, as have the COSL Spillfest (21 May), Olympic Day (12 June) and the Rencontres sans frontières (14 June) events.

Likewise, the activities of the Sports Service, such as the Spring-Summer Sport for All programme (for young people, adults and seniors), and Sport-Wochen activities will not take place this year.
