The Grand Ducal Police have called for witnesses following several acts of vandalism to buildings in Luxembourg City.
The police reported that recent days including Tuesday evening saw unknown perpetrators vandalise buildings and other objects across the capital, through graffiti (including Nazi slogans, as pictured) and other damage.
The areas affected included a shop wall on Rue Chimay, which reportedly suffered damage between Saturday 25 January 2020 and yesterday. Graffiti was added some time between yesterday evening and this morning.
According to the police, further damage was caused to company buildings on Avenue John F. Kennedy in Kirchberg and on Rue de Bouillon, the Place de Nancy bus stop (pictured), an apartment building on Rue Marie-Adelaïde, a private house on Rue de Hollerich and a school building on Rue de l'Acierie in Hollerich, as well as on Place de France in Merl.
Criminal charges have been filed and investigations initiated in relation to these incidents.
