On Friday afternoon, an 89 year-old man died following an accident in Dudelange.

Witnesses reported that the man was crossing the Rue du Commerce shortly after 16:15 when he fell, losing consciousness. A motorist was parking their car and hit the man's body.

Witnesses called the emergency services and provided first aid to the man. He was brought to hospital by ambulance; however, he died there a short while later.

The public prosecutor was informed.
