The Luxembourg Police have reported the death of a construction worker following a work accident this morning in Luxembourg-Gasperich.
The accident occurred around 08:45 when a worker fell from several metres on a construction site on Rue Charles Darwin in Gasperich. The reason(s) for the fall remain unknown.
Despite the arrival of an emergency first aid medic on site, the 50-year-old man from the German border region died of his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
In order to clarify the circumstances, the public prosecutor commissioned the investigation and detection service of the criminal police to carry out an investigation. The inspectorate of labour and mines (ITM) was also present.
