The Luxembourg Police have reported that a construction worker suffered serious injuries following an accident on a construction site on Rue Mercier in Luxembourg-Gare yesterday.
On Wednesday morning at 10:30, a serious work accident occurred in the Gare district, when a construction worker fell from a scaffold from a height of about 2.5 metres. The reasons for the fall are not yet known.
After receiving first aid at the accident site, the victim was taken to hospital for further treatment.
The Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) was informed of the accident and arrived on scene. By order of the public prosecutor's office, the Criminal Police Department has opened an investigation and an accident report has been drawn up.
