Meteolux have upgraded their weather alert from Orange to Red as they forecast temperatures to reach 36C - 40C across Luxembourg on Wednesday afternoon, for the period between 14:00 and 20:00.

And for Thursday, their forecast is for temperatures to be between 38C - 40C between 12:00 and 21:00. Along the Moselle, temperatures could reach as high as 42C.

Ozone levels are expected to exceed the European threshold of 180 μg/m³.
