In the early hours of Friday morning, the Grand Ducal Police discovered the body in a ditch on the CR142 between Flaxweiler and Potaschberg.
At around 01:00 this morning, the 39 year-old man who lived in Wecker was reported missing by his family after he did not arrive home after leaving the house at 20:45 for a cycle. The police launched a search and came upon his body at 03:30.
The police have called for witnesses to contact them at tel: 4997-7500 and have stated that they cannot rule out foul play. The public prosecutor has ordered an autopsy to be carried out as well as an investigation into the cause of the accident.
The road was reopened to traffice from 07:00.
