The Grand Ducal Police today released security photos of a man suspected to have stolen a handbag in the Gare Centrale between 15:00 and 15:30 on Friday 31 July 2015.
Security footage showed that a couple had taken a seat in one of the waiting rooms of the station hall, placing the bag beside them. When the couple briefly dozed off, the suspect used the opportunity to take the bag. The theft was noticed a short while later, but by that time the perpetrator had escaped.
The police are therefore calling on members of the public with any information regarding the identity of the man caught on camera to contact the Luxembourg-Gare police department at 2442-9500.
