As part of the traditional Gesond Iessen, Méi Bewegen (GIMB) national day, the Ministry of Sports will be organising a day devoted entirely to children's motor skills and the physical activity of toddlers on Thursday 5 November 2015.

The day was organised after the subject of motor skills in early childhood was tackled in a special session of Sports Directors of the European Union on 15 and 16 September 2015 under the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU. The Presidency is now attempting to continue the fostering of a stronger focus on the educational dimension at the national level, with parents, teachers, educators, sports leaders and coaches, and politicans each showing an interest in the subject.

The day will offer the opportunity for an exchange, meeting and reflection between those in the know, and those wishing to gain the know-how.
