Luxembourg Art Week and artcontemporain.lu asbl have opened a call for participation in the third edition of “(capsules)”, the initiative which offers contemporary artists the opportunity to display their work in the heart of Luxembourg City.

Launched in 2024 with the support of the City of Luxembourg (VdL), “(capsules)” repurposes vacant storefronts and billboard spaces through the use of temporary window installations visible to the public. The latest edition will run from mid-October to late November 2026.

The call is open to artists of all nationalities and ages, visual and digital arts practices. No application fee is required.

Proposals may include existing works adapted specifically for storefront window installation. Submitted works must be available for transport and installation within Europe. Given their placement in the public realm, proposed works must be suitable for unrestricted viewing. Selected artists will receive comprehensive support for their participation including an artist fee and/or production contribution of €950 (incl. VAT) along with covered travel expenses and accommodation.

The organisers will additionally cover:

• artwork transport (round trip within Europe);

• scenography and technical installation.

The selection committee consists of Patricia Couvet, Director of Centre d’art contemporain - la synagogue de Delme, Melanie de Jamblinne, Director of Luxembourg Art Week, Delphine Munro, President of Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain and Charles Wennig, President of artcontemporain.lu asbl.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 24 May 2026.
