Luxembourg Art Week has announced a call for applications to participate in the third “Capsules” project, inviting artists to create site-specific window installations in Luxembourg, scheduled to take place from 14 October to 22 November 2026.

The initiative forms part of the official off-site programme of Luxembourg Art Week and aims to bring contemporary art into everyday public spaces.

Organised in partnership with artcontemporain.lu asbl and supported by the City of Luxembourg (VdL), the “Capsules” project invites artists to propose site-specific installations for window spaces across the city.

Artists can download the application brochure and terms and conditions for further details, including eligibility and financial information, and submit their applications online. Submissions must include a presentation, visuals or sketches of the proposed installation, communication materials, as well as the artist’s CV and portfolio.

The selection committee for the third edition of Capsules includes:

  • Patricia Couvet, Director of Synagogue de Delme;

  • Mélanie de Jamblinne, Director of Luxembourg Art Week;

  • Delphine Munro, President of Casino Luxembourg – Forum d'art contemporain;

  • Charles Wennig, President of artcontemporain.lu asbl.

The organisers noted that the committee will assess applications based on the quality of the proposal, the originality of the artistic project and the artist’s professional background.

The open call runs from Wednesday 15 April to Sunday 24 May 2026, with the shortlist announcement scheduled for mid-June 2026.
