World Cider Day is observed annually on 3 June; to mark the occasion, Luxembourgish cider producer Ramborn organised a family-friendly event at the weekend.
The celebrations unfolded at the Ramborn Cider Haff in Born on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June 2024.
Visitors had the opportunity to taste several varieties of Ramborn local ciders and perries and take a self-guided tour of the cidery. A food truck served burgers (including the special "Ramborn Burger", topped with camembert and apple chutney) and chips, whilst musical entertainment was provided by Tuna De Maastricht and DJ V1nce (on Saturday), as well as local singer-songwriter Blue-ish (on Sunday).
Other activities included a bouncy castle for children and a cornhole toss (lawn game).
A couple of Luxembourg MEPs/MEP hopefuls were among those present at the event.
According to the World Cider Day website, World Cider Day is "an international declaration of love for the popular cult drink".
