On Friday 10 April 2026, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade reported that Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel held talks with Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Monaco, in Monaco.

According to the ministry, the talks on Friday 10 April underlined the excellence of bilateral relations between Luxembourg and Monaco, based in particular on a shared commitment to values such as multilateralism and human rights, and reaffirmed their full support for the Council of Europe, whose Committee of Ministers will next be chaired by Monaco.

Minister Bettel also highlighted the quality of cooperation between the two countries in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as the establishment of a Monegasque data embassy in Luxembourg, which has been fully operational since 2025.

In addition, the two ministers exchanged views on the main international current affairs topics.

In 2027, the two countries will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
