On Sunday 14 December 2025, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, announced that Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel attended the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the United Arab Emirates.
The ministry reported that Minister Bettel attended following the invitation of the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The forum took place from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 December 2025 and was organised in cooperation with the Atlantic Council. It has traditionally been part of the international community's efforts to promote conflict resolution in the Middle East. The initiative enables high-level informal exchanges between government representatives, business sector experts and academics on regional security issues.
The Government Information and Press Service (SIP) confirmed to Chronicle.lu that the forum was held under Chatham House Rules and no additional reporting will be provided by them in relation to the event.
