Award-winning Luxembourgish-German chanteuse Adrienne Haan and her long-time music director Richard Danley on piano and vocals are performing "White Christmas at the Triad" for the fourth year in New York City (US).

Two performances are scheduled to take place at Triad Theater in New York City on Saturday 3 December 2022 at 14:00 and on Wednesday 7 December 2022 at 19:00, with a third invite-only premiere of the show at Luxembourg House in New York City taking place on Friday 9 December 2022.

Written by Laurence Pierron, "White Christmas" tells the life story of American composer Irving Berlin, from Imperial Russia to Antwerp, Belgium via Ellis Island to the lower East Side as a child, all the way to Beekman Place, Broadway and Hollywood as an adult - and his close connection the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Combining their talents, Adrienne Haan and Richard Danley will present beloved Christmas songs as well as lesser known oeuvres of this American composer to kick off the festive season.

In addition to two performances at Triad Theater (both open to the public), Luxembourg's Consul General in New York, Paul Steinmetz, is hosting an invite-only soirée at the Luxembourg House, i.e. the former home of Irving Berlin (17 Beekman Place) in New York City. During his lifetime, it was here that Irving Berlin met Luxembourgish photographer Edward Steichen for photography sessions. Today, Irving Berlin's former home hosts the Luxembourg Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN), the Consulate General of Luxembourg in New York and the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in New York. The Luxembourg House was renovated by Luxembourgish architect Michel Franck in the early 2000s.

On 9 December, "White Christmas at the Consulate" will thus premiere in Irving Berlin's former home. The show was written by cultural attaché and executive assistant to the Consul General, Laurence Pierron, who will retire on 15 December 2022. An American citizen originally from France, Ms Pierron shares a long history with the Grand Duchy. She is also the creative director of the show.
