The Luxembourg government has confirmed the repatriation of two Luxembourgers from Wuhan in China.

Following their arrival at Paris Airport on a flight organised by the French authorities within the framework of the European civil protection mechanism, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps carried out the individuals' transfer to Luxembourg on Friday afternoon.

As a precautionary measure, the two Luxembourgers were placed in segregation as soon as they arrived on Luxembourg territory. A first medical check-up has reportedly confirmed the absence of any signs or symptoms of infection. This initial assessment may be supplemented by analyses carried out at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) and the persons in question will remain in quarantine during the 14-day maximum incubation period of a coronavirus infection.

The procedures in force as well as the recommendations for travellers can be consulted on the website www.sante.lu/coronavirus, which will be regularly updated according to the evolution of the epidemic at the global level.
