Eleven exhibitors are currently representing Luxembourg at its pavilion at the 53rd International Exhibition of Aeronautics and Space (SIAE), taking place from 17 to 23 June 2019 at the Parc des Expositions du Bourget in Paris.

The SIAE Paris Air Show is one of the most important platforms in the aerospace industry and has more than 2,300 exhibitors from 48 countries and more than 320,000 visitors. This year, the Luxembourg pavilion brings together eleven exhibitors over an area of 222 m2, including a 40 m2 space dedicated to the Luxembourg Space Agency.

On 18 June 2019, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider, visited both the Luxembourg pavilion to meet with the managers of the various Luxembourgish companies present and the Thales Alenia pavilion. It was during his visit to the latter that Minister Schneider signed a joint declaration with Thales Alenia President Jean Loïc Galle on the implementation of a digital competence centre in Luxembourg. This specialised centre, planned for the end of 2019, will focus on the development of innovative digital solutions for telecommunication and space observation services.

Étienne Schneider also visited the chalet of the company Luxaviation where he was able to visit the facilities of the Luxembourg business jet operator and to exchange with the management of the company.
