Luxembourg's Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, is in London today, Monday 29 June, on a working visit, having accepted an invitation from the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, Philip Hammond.
During his visit, Minister Asselborn will meet, in addition to his counterpart Philip Hammond, the Minister of State for Europe of the United Kingdom, David Lidington. He will also have the opportunity to meet with the director of the think tank Centre for European Reform, Charles Grant.
The talks between Minister Asselborn and British authorities will address bilateral relations between the Grand Duchy and the United Kingdom. The ministers will then focus on the priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU Council as well as on issues of European politics, including the political situation in the UK as well as the role of Britain in the EU.
