The nova naturstroum fund awarded eight exceptional projects with a presentation at the A Schmadds cultural centre in Berdorf this week attended by minister of the environment, Carole Dieschbourg and the mayor of Berdorf, Ernest Walerius.
In addition, a further 307 projects were presented with ‘targeted bonuses’.
The fund, founded by natur & ümwelt, energieagence and Enovos Luxembourg, has an annual endowment of €200,000 which is directed towards promoting and developing renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and eco-technologies in Luxembourg with individual, business and charitable grants. Priority is given to projects with a multiplier effect, are innovative or didactic.
Minister Dieschbourg thanked and congratulated the winners for their commitment to the environment.
Jean-Luc Santinelli, CCO of Enovos Luxembourg welcomed the exemplary ecological investment of the municipality of Berdorf, which motivated the choice of organising the awards ceremony in this municipality, which has already been recognised several times for its green projects.
