Performances of Treemonisha, the world’s first opera conceived for a non-white cast adapted by Cape Town-based theatre company Isango Ensemble, will take place at the Grand Théâtre (Studio) in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 October 2022 at 20:00.
This reinvention of Scott Joplin’s 1911 opera is in English, with excerpts in Xhosa and Zulu.
