Details:
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Fondation Cancer Luxembourg is organising a unique "Takte gegen Krebs" concert, the duration of which will be decided by the audience; the concert will take place at 16:30 on 9 June 2019 at the Philharmonie.
In addition to reserving a ticket to attend the concert, the number of guests will determine the duration of this charity concert. Each place will represent a measure of the music score and the musicians will play for as long as the measures that have been sold.
For this unprecedented concert, the Fondation Cancer will host the World Doctors Orchestra, a unique orchestra of doctors from around the world. By exchanging their stethoscope for an instrument, doctors demonstrate a commitment to patients that goes beyond their profession. The musicians, solist mezzo soprano Delphine Haidan, the Chœur Nicolas de Grigny and a children's choir from Maîtrise de la Cathédrale de Reims, will play the third symphony of Mahler.
