Emaischen asbl is hosting its traditional "Emaischen" Easter Monday market in Nospelt, in the municipality of Kehlen in south-western Luxembourg, on Monday 21 April 2025, from 10:00.
The “Emaischen” is a traditional folk festival in Luxembourg, which is celebrated on Easter weekend annually, since 1957, in the village of Nospelt . highlight is the market on Easter Monday. The stars of the “Emaischen” are the “Péckvillercher”, little bird-shaped whistles made out of clay. The charming birds come in different shapes and sizes and are especially popular among children and collectors.
In Nospelt, visitors can watch the potters at work. Beside handmade "Péckvillercher" and stands with a variety of pottery goods, there are also various concerts, workshops and exhibitions. The two museums of the village (the pottery museum and the archeological museum) are open during the event.
This year's event in Nospelt will take place from Saturday 19 April to Monday 21 April 2025 (Easter Monday).
