On Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 May 2025, Australian circus company Circa, together with Austrian band Franui, present Ulricht Primal Light at the Grand Theatre, Luxembourg-Llimpertsberg, at 20:00.
Synopsis: This unique collaboration between renowned Austrian Musicbanda, Franui and pioneering Australian troupe, Circa, takes you on a journey into Gustav Mahler's musical world. Franui's Mahler interpretations provide the musical backbone, while the astonishing Circa acrobats, under the direction of Yaron Lifschitz, translate the music's essence and textures through physical expressions. The outcome is a multisensory experience where classical pieces are respectfully reimagined and the boundaries of circus performance are pushed and enriched with elements of movement, dance, and theatre. Mahler's music brought to life by Franui and Circa's breathtaking physicality is a celebration of creativity, cooperation, and the boundless possibilities of artistic expression.
