Details:

Luxembourg's Grand Théâtre will be showcasing several performances of "Cabaret", in English and French (with German subtitles), presented by Ben Kenwright, on 23, 26, 27, 29 and 30 December at 20:00, on 28 December at 15:00 and 20:00 and on 31 December 2019 at 19:00, as well as on 2, 3 and 5 January at 20:00 and on 4 January 2020 at 15:00 and 20:00.

It has become a tradition for the Grand Théâtre to mark the end of the year with the presentation of a great spectacle. This time, Kander and Ebb’s landmark musical "Cabaret", based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, will delight audiences over the festive season. This is a show that triumphed not only on Broadway and West End stages but, since its Broadway premiere and the movie version with Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey, has won numerous stage and screen awards including 8 Oscars, 7 BAFTAs and 13 Tonys.

"Cabaret" turns the Weimar Berlin of 1931 into a dark and sexually charged haven of decadence, at the heart of which the legendary Sally Bowles performs at the infamous Kit Kat Klub. Directed by Rufus Norris, Artistic Director of the National Theatre, "Cabaret" features show-stopping choreography by Olivier Award winner Javier De Frutos, dazzling costumes and some of the most iconic songs in musical theatre, including Money Makes The World Go Round, Two Ladies, Maybe This Time and, of course, Cabaret.

The New Year's Eve performance will be followed by a dinner party in the Grand Théâtre’s foyer.
