Details:

The Ville de Luxembourg, in close collaboration with the UCVL retail association, has announced that the 2020 edition of the city's annual Braderie will go ahead on Monday 31 August, albeit with certain restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shops and catering

Like the other events offered by the City of Luxembourg in public spaces during the summer, the sale of alcoholic drinks will be prohibited in public spaces on the day of the “Stater Braderie” and catering stands will not be permitted in shopping streets.

Traders will have the opportunity to offer take-out snacks in centralised “food village” spaces located at Place Guillaume II (in the old city) and along the Rue Origer in the Gare district (linking Ave de la Liberté and Ave de la Gare).

For this 2020 edition, the stands will be operated only by businesses established in the capital.

Sanitary measures

Given the small spaces in which the public will circulate, the wearing of masks will be compulsory, as much for the employees of the businesses as for the visitors. In addition, traders participating in the "Stater Braderie" are obliged to ensure compliance with health measures in their establishments.

Mobility

In addition to the Rue Origer, the Avenue de la Liberté will also be closed to traffic (between Place de Paris and Place de la Gare).

Times

The 91st annual Braderie will be open from 09:00 - 19:00 on Monday 31 August
