The Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg (OPL) will play a concert on 26 April 2019 at the Philharmonie, from 20:00.
On this occasion, the OPL, under the baton of Andrew Manze, and violinist Veronika Eberle will perform Wolfgang A. Mozart's Violin "Concerto N° 3 in G major, K. 216" and Anton Bruckner's "Symphony N° 7".
In the first concert half, soloist Veronika Eberle will play Mozart’s popular "Violin Concerto N° 3". Eberle is an artist praised for her sensuous yet carefully thought-out interpretations. The OPL will then dedicate itself to Bruckner's score under the baton of the British conductor Andre Manze.
Anton Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony did not have an easy time finding its way into the standard repertoire – a fate it shares with many of the composer’s works. Today, however, it has become one of Bruckner’s most popular and most frequently performed compositions, never failing to provide attractive challenges for any symphony orchestra of renown.
The musicologist Katrin Stöck will introduce the programme in German at 19:15 at the Salle de Musique de Chambre.
