The University of Luxembourg is organising conferences on the "Promises, Pitfalls, and Opportunities of Hardware-Assisted Security" next week.

On 13 March 2019, the university will host the conference "Mind the Gap: Promises, Pitfalls, and Opportunities of Hardware-Assisted Security" in Room 3.010 in the Maison du Savoir on Campus Belval, starting at 11:45. After years of research in hardware security, adequate solutions are still missing to protect modern computing platforms.

This talk by Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi from the TU Darmstadt will provide an overview of hardware-assisted security and discuss the impact of deployed solutions, their strengths and shortcomings, as well as new research directions. Sadeghi received the renowned German “Karl Heinz Beckurts” award for his influential research on Trusted and Trustworthy Computing.
