Next month's 44th Midi de Microfinance- renamed the Midi de Microinsurance- “Client's journey into microinsurance: Nicaragua and the Philippines experience”, hosted by ADA, will take place at noon on Thursday 7 June 2018 at Arendt House, Luxembourg.

Inclusive finance is made up of different products and services that meet the needs of the poorest people in the least developed countries. One of the most essential product for these populations is microinsurance. Indeed, microfinance institutions are implementing different products to protect their clients with life insurance, health care, home insurance, motorcycle insurance, and many others adapted to special needs.

For the 44th Midi de la microfinance- renamed Midi de la microassurance (microinsurance) for this occasion- international panellists Fernando Guzman, Chairman of Serinsa in Nicaragua, a company enhancing contact between MFIs and microinsurance companies of which ADA is a shareholder, and Jonathan Batangan, General Manager of Cebuana Lhuillier in the Philippines, will discuss the evolution and impact of microinsurance products in these distinct regions. They will also discuss how they propose their products and how the MFIs accompany their clients along their “microinsurance journey”, as well as learning about special innovations to expand these products as quickly as possible to a larger population.

Pierre-Michaël de Waersegger and Anne Contreras (Arendt & Medernach) will introduce the Midi, whilst Matthew Genazzini, Head of Technical Support of MFIs of ADA Luxembourg and long-term specialist in microinsurance, will moderate the discussion. Following a Q&A with the audience, the conclusion will be provided by Katharine McKee, Director of the Board of the Microinsurance Network.

Admission will take place from 11:50 onwards with the event beginning at 12:00. The conference- held in English- will be followed by lunch at 13.00.
