This year’s "Cinéma du Sud" film festival will be held from 14 November to 14 December 2017 in various cinemas across Luxembourg.
The project was launched in 2010 to raise public awareness of themes related to development, through the medium of cinema, with the theme of the festival changing every year.
Two screenings are scheduled for 22 November with "Syria: Children on the Frontline" and "Watani: My Homeland" at CNA-Dudelange.
"Syria: Children on the Frontline" is a documentary on life on the front line in Aleppo through the eyes of children. Similarly, "Watani: My Homeland" documents the lives of a family from Aleppo who are on the run.
