Next year's Gala des Etoiles 2018 to be performed on 26 and 27 May 2018 at the Grand Theatre in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg will be based around the theme "A Breeze of Russian Seasons", a tribute to the great Diaghilev, who revolutionized the world of ballet over 100 years ago with his creative power and audacity.

This gala of ballet, which has seen great success since its inauguration in 2012 with dancers like Svetlana Zakharova, Lucia Lacarra and Vladimir Malakhov who are currently preparing the DanceXperience for a new concept for the international ballet highlights.

In addition to the academic classics, there are some daring experiments in the new edition. For example, a choreography featuring hip hop (Kendra Horsburgh, Luxembourg) and ballet (Francesco Costa, Vienna State Ballet) will unite into a symbiosis.

No one less than world star Veronika Dzhioeva, first soloist with the Novosibirsk Theater of Opera and Ballet, guest soloist with the Bolshoi Theater Moscow and Mariinsky Theater St. Petersburg, will perform in two choreographies with Viennese dancers specially created for the gala, based on an idea by Natascha Ipatova Staatsballetts, perform arias accompanied by the pianist of the Vienna State Opera - the opera diva Veronika Dzhioeva is considered one of the best soprano voices of the present in professional circles.

In addition to the Argentine prima ballerina Marianela Nunez from the Royal Ballet London, once again some of the biggest ballerinas of our time as well as world-acclaimed star soloists of renowned companies from all over the world, will feature.

Iana Salenko is one of the crème de la crème of the world's leading ballerinas. As a sought-after guest star, she has been regularly seen for years in all major cities from London, Moscow, Paris, New York and Tokyo. Together with dance partner Dinu Tamazlacaru she will again float with graceful elegance and expressiveness.

Vadim Muntagirov of the Royal Ballet London and Alejandro Parente of the Teatro Colon Buenos Aires will perform alongside Marianela Nunez, the Vienna State Ballet will feature the internationally successful first solo dancer Liudmila Konovalova together with solo dancer Eno Peci, Universal Ballet Seoul Evelina Godunova with dance partner Young Gyu Choi from The Dutch National Ballet Amsterdam.

In addition, four young talents, Nina Tonoli, Jakob Feyferlik, Francesco Costa of the Vienna State Ballet and Kendra Horsburgh, a dancer and choreographer working in Luxembourg, will be given the opportunity to show their skills in the midst of experienced start dancers.

Special guest for one evening is the Spanish prima ballerina Lucia Lacarra. Together with husband and dance partner Marlon Dino, you will once again take the hearts of the audience by storm.

Performances include excerpts of choreographic rarities, as well as neo-classical and modern choreographies framed by Igor Zapravdin's solo performances..
