Details:  The Healthcare Summit 2017 is to take place at the Espace Namur in Luxembourg-Hamm, on Thursday 15 June from 17:30 to 22:00.

In general, it aims to bring together professionals in the health, care and life sciences sectors. The main topic to be disscussed at the Healthcare Summit 2017 is "The challenges of 4P medicine"

- Françoise Clerget-Darpoux:

Since August 2011, Françoise Clerget-Darpoux is an Emeritus Research Director with the French National Institute of Medical and Health Research (INSERM) at the Institut Imagine.

For ten years, she has been the head of a department devoted to multiple aspects of statistical genetics, population genetics and genetic epidemiology encompassing both methodology developments and their applications to the study of human diseases. For 15 years, she had been responsible for the teaching of Statistical Genetics (master level) at University Paris-Sud.

'An important aspect of my work relates to the modeling of the genetic factors involved in multifactorial diseases and the impact of using wrong models in genetic analyses. I am particularly concerned with the GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out) syndrome one can observe today in predictive medicine for multifactorial diseases.' - Françoise Clerget-Darpoux.

- Catherine Larue, CEO:

After a Ph.D in Immunology, Catherine Larue began her career at Sanofi, Montpellier (France) in the cardiovascular R&D department and participated in the discovery of innovative biomarkers such as troponin I.

She then joined Sanofi Diagnostics Pasteur, at Chaska MN (USA) for 3 years where she was responsible for Assay Development in the immunodiagnostic area. In 2003, she completed an Executive MBA and had worked for 7 years as a Director of Business Unit at Bio- Rad. After installing the biomarkers department in Genfit (Lille, France), she took over the CEO position of the Institute IBBL (Integrated Biobank of Luxembourg).

Since January 2016, she is now the CEO of Luxembourg Institute of Health.
