Details: The Easter concert entitled "Bach: Matthäus-Passion" will be held at the Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) on 26 March 2017, from 16:00.
The upcoming Easter concert will be performed by the Vocal Ensemble of the Conservatoire du Nord, Chorformation Grenzgänger, cantoLX, the choir from the Ensemble de la Chapelle Saint-Marc.
Easter is an important source of inspiration for many composers, and has led to the creation of significant works in the history of music. Bach's St. Matthew Passion is one of them. This composition, based on the account of the sufferings and death of Christ according to the Gospel of Matthew, marks a highlight of religious music.
Under the general direction of the conductor Frank Agsteribbe, the Vocal Ensemble of the Conservatoire du Nord with the German-Luxembourg choir formation Grenzgänger, Ensemble CantoLX and Ensemble de la Chapelle Saint-Marc will come together to perform this piece.
