Details: The Polish exhibition "Orangery" will be held at the Kinneksbond in Mamer from 8 to 25 March 2017.

In the framework of "Wroclaw, European Capital of Culture 2016", artistic duo Anne Claude Jeitz and Alain Calliste were invited by the Academy of Wroclaw to create glass sculptures as part of the “Orangery” exhibition.

In association with the Polish artist Barbara Idzikowska, a creative residency of three months between April and June 2016 resulted in the creation of a monumental installation "Orangery" on the theme of European identities.

"Orangery" is at the same time an installation comprising 28 districts of glass oranges sculptures and representations of the diversity and unity of the 28 EU Member States and their citizens. The works have been created by the artists as well as students and alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts Eugeniusz Geppert in Wroclaw.

The final installation was presented in Wroclaw during the 9th edition of the "High Temperatures Festival" at the Centre for Art and Science of the Old Mine of Wałbrzych, and will be presented at the Kinneksbond, Mamer Cultural Centre from 8 to 25 March 2017 before, among other things, joining the Musée du Verre de Charleroi, on the Bois du Cazier site in the spring of 2017.

The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday 8 March 2017, from 19:00.
