The conference “WiSE – How can Luxembourg do better?” within the framework of the exhibition "WiSE Women - Women in research and engineering in Luxembourg" will be held on Monday 13 February 2017 at the Tramsschapp.

The questions raised at the conference include trying to explain why only 24% of employed researchers in Luxembourg are women, as well as ways to improve the current situation, how to reconcile maternity and mobility, how to motivate younger generations, and how to create an engaging work environment for all.

Three panels of researchers will discuss their experiences and identify key issues with specialists and the public. The reflections of the evening will be transformed into a white paper to be given to the institutions, in order to make scientific careers more attractive for women and to get increasingly close to gender equality.

The conference will be given in English and followed by a networking cocktail offered by the Ville de Luxembourg.
