Details: At the beginning of October every year, people gather in Vianden for its famous nut fair or ‘Nessmoort’. The nuts gathered under the numerous nut-trees around Vianden are used to make all sorts of things, from nut-cakes and breads to nut-salami and the traditional ‘Nëssdrëpp’ (Nut schnaps), there is something for everyone. The fair starts around 100:00, with activities for kids and adults, music, drinks and traditional foods, most of which prepared with nuts, of course.

Most of the village is closed off during the fair, so visitors can use the Park&Ride parking and a free shuttle to get to the village centre.
