Details: The ALFI Leading Edge Conference, originally scheduled for 25 October 2016, has been split into two half-day seminars, adapting to current hot topics of the market, one on German Tax and the other on Brexit.
Organised by the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI), the first was held on Thursday 27 October 2016, with an amended agenda “German Tax” which examined the new German investment tax act, at the Luxembourg Chambre de Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
A second half-day conference is now scheduled to take place on 1 December 2016 covering the impact and practical solutions following the referendum on Brexit, starting at 13:00 until 18:45.
Will Luxembourg be the new London by positioning itself as the alternative domicile of choice for London based international cross-border fund management groups reassessing their presence in the UK? Is Luxembourg prepared to host additional asset managers seeking to assure a direct presence on the European market?
Fund industry experts from both Luxembourg and London discuss possible scenarios, arising opportunities and challenges. This half-day (afternoon) conference will focus on:
• The Brexit Process: the Brussels perspective;
• Luxembourg: Working with cross-border fund management groups on Brexit implications;
• Preparing for Brexit infrastructure and servicing challenges.
Venue: Chambre re Commerce, Kirchberg
Organiser: Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI)
