Details: Legendary American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter, Joe Bonamassa, will be paying homage to the music of the British blues explosion with a concert in the world heritage site of the Abbaye de Neumünster on Tuesday 12 July 2016.
The 39-year-old's frenzied blues career has seen him open for B.B. King at the tender aged of 12 and watch 11 of the 15 solo albums he has released in the last 13 years reach #1 in the Billboard Blues charts. Now the veritable blues superstar will be honouring the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, British Blues legends who greatly inspired his musical path, with a unique concert tribute.
"If it wasn't for certain British musicians of the early 1960s, the Blues may well never have exploded into Rock music as we know it today, and indeed may have passed into history," Bonamassa has said.
Jimmy Page went on to form Led Zeppelin, whilst both Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck became international superstars in their own right.
Joe Bonamassa will be fittingly supported by British blues rock guitarist and singer, Joanne Shaw Taylor. Taylor was also discovered at an early age after Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics heard her play when she was 16, inviting her to join his supergroup D.U.P. on their European tour.
