Details: The Institute for Global Financial Integrity (TIGFI) is organising its 47th Finance Lunch event on Tuesday 7 June 2016 from 11:30 at the Cercle Munster in Luxembourg-Grund.
Francesco Papadia, Chair of Prime Collateralised Securities, will speak on "The role of Asset Backed Securities in the Capital Markets Union".
Francesco Papadia is Chair of Prime Collateralised Securities, Chair of the Selection Panel of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund, Non-Resident Fellow of Bruegel and a Consultant to a Swiss bank. He lectures at the Universities of Frankfurt (Goethe Universität), Milan (Politecnico), Pisa (S. Anna) and Rome (LUISS). Mr. Papadia was Director General for Market Operations at the European Central Bank for 14 years. He worked previously at the Banca d´Italia, first as Director of the International Section of the Research Department and then as deputy head of the Foreign Department. He attended the London Business School and holds a Law Degree from the University of Rome. He has also completed Postgraduate studies in Economics at Istao, Ancona. Francesco Papadia has published numerous articles and books on: monetary economics, international economics, international finance and economic development. He was born in Rome in 1947 and is married with 3 children.
