Details: On Wednesday 11 May at 20:00, the Folk-Clupp Lëtzebuerg ASBL ad the Abbaye de Neumunster are organising a concert featuring the C4 TRIO folk group from Venezuela at the Salle Robert Krieps in the Abbaye de Neumunster in Luxembourg-Grund.
Founded by Jorge Glem, Hector Molina and Edward Ramírez, C4 Trio consists of three virtuosos on cuatro, an instrument similar to the guitar, typical of popular music of Venezuela. After performing solo at the Festival international de Cuatro in Caracas in 2005, the musicians have embarked on an adventure of this unusual ensemble, naturally combining traditional Venezuelan music with a contemporary sensibility. They were joined in 2014 by bassist Gustavo Marquez. C4 has collaborated with leading musicians including Venezuelan Aquiles Báez, Serenata Guayanesa and Roberto Koch. The group has performed in Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Their new album has just been released.
