Details: On Tuesday 26 April 2016, the Office of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of the Economy will be holding the ninth edition of Luxembourg Intellectual Property Day ('Journée luxembourgeoise de la propriété intellectuelle') at the Maison du Savoir in Esch/Alzette.
The day will begin at 13:30 with the inauguration of the different stands of major intellectual property stakeholders in the Grand Duchy, which will be followed by a speech from Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider. Throughout the afternoon, specialists will be available to visitors wishing to learn about all aspects of the topic, such as patents, trademarks, designs, copyright and ancillary rights.
From 14:00, a conference will take place featuring six speakers from main players in national public research, such as the National Research Fund (FNR), the University of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), to address their respective way of understanding intellectural property through their strategies for research and development. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
