Details: The Cercle Cité on Place d'Armes in Luxembourg city centre is celebrating its five year anniversary since it reopened after extensive renovations and, to commemorate this milestone, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May 2016 will see an open house along with other events.

Programme:

Continuously: The film “gëschter an haut” by Cathy Richard will be shown in the City Auditorium (to benefit the students of the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg). Additionally, the Local craft meets design exhibition (in the framework of Design City 2016), will be open from 11:00 to 19:00 for the entire weekend at Ratskeller at the Cercle Cité.


On Saturday 21 May:

10:30 to 11:30 – “Kinneksbesuch am Cercle Cité”, a play in Luxembourgish for children 4 to 8 years old, held in the Great Hall. Registrations be email: tuffi@vdl.lu.
11:00 – Meeting with designers as part of the exhibition at Ratskeller.
11:30 – Guided tour in Luxembourgish and French. Departure: Main Entrance Cercle Cité.
11:30 – Aperitif concert of the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg in the Blue Room.
12:00 to 14:00 – Continuous workshop for children 5 + on drawing, cutting and creating a magical pop-up card. Framed by illustrator Keong-A Song. Held in the Great Hall.
14:30 – Guided tour in Luxembourgish and French. Departure: Main Entrance Cercle Cité.
14:45 – “Electrically human” by Georges Pire Maikel Monteiro (Trois C-L) in the Great Hall.
15:45 – A demonstration of standard dances with Serge and Peggy Quazzotti (DSC RWB) in the Great Hall.
16:45 – “Trust” by Giovanni Zazzera (Trois C-L) in the Great Hall.

On Sunday 22 May:

11:15 to 12:15 – An introduction on Aikido for children and adults by Aikido Club Luxembourg. (Wear comfortable clothes!) in the Great Hall.
11:30 – Guided tour in Luxembourgish and French. Departure: Main Entrance Cercle Cité.
12:00 to 14:00 – Jazz & Instant Composition by Sascha Ley & Laurent Payfert in the Blue Room.
14:30 – Guided tour in Luxembourgish and French. Departure: Main Entrance Cercle Cité.
14:45 – A demonstration of Latin Dances with Joseph Piron and Virginia Gennen in the Great Hall.
15:45 – “Particles” an Installation and danced by Michèle Annick Schadeck Tonteling (Trois C-L) in the Big room.

All the events will be free-of-charge to attend.
