Details: The Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) is co-organising the 11th Annual Meeting of the Genetic Epidemiology of Parkinson's Disease (GEoPD) Consortium and the 3rd International Parkinson's Disease Symposium from 6-8 October 2016 at the Maison du Savoir in the University of Luxembourg campus in Esch-Belval.
The conference aims to bridge the gap between biologists, clinicians, translational and computer scientists to share the latest knowledge on complex network sciences applied to Parkinson's Disease (PD) and to discuss future collaborative strategies. It will bring together worldwide distinguished academics in the field of neuroscience to exchange about state-of-the-art research and technologies. The event will host the world’s leading academics in the fields of neurology and neuroscience. As an innovative concept, each session is composed of clinical, translational, fundamental and one young researcher to maximise integration of research results across the traditional research fields. Topics bridge from fundamental research to clinical Parkinson´s disease in the fields of connectivity and exactibility, mitochondrial, protein aggregation and degradation. It will address the major cellular hallmarks of PD and new developments in research and care in the following sessions: - Mitochondrial dysfunction and dynamics The Integrated BioBank of Luxembourg (IBBL) is also involved in this event.
- Connectivity and excitability
- Protein aggregation and degradation
- Innovations and technological developments
- Multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
