Details: As in previous years, the Ville de Luxembourg will organise its traditional second-hand sale on the first Sunday of each month from April to October 2016, between 10:00 and 17:00.
The first such "vide-grenier" sale of 2016 will take place on Sunday 3 April, then on the following Sundays: 8 May (an exception as it is the 2nd Sunday of the month), 5 June, 3 July, 7 August, 4 September and 2 October. These second-hand markets will be organised on Place Guillaume II in Luxembourg city centre, except in July, when they will be located on the Avenue de la Gare.
Those wishing to reserve a stand at the second-hand market will need to register with the Festival and Markets Service of the Ville de Luxembourg at 9 Rue Chimay (09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday). Registration will open one month before each garage sale. Thus, for Sunday 3 April, registrations will available from Tuesday 1 March 2016 and other dates from the Monday after the previous event.
One location will be awarded per person, at a registration fee of €10 per 5x3m location. Benches and tables will also be made available by the Ville de Luxembourg. Only those selling items from their own households will be permitted; the sale of all articles prohibited by Luxembourg law, including the sale of animals or food and beverages, will not be allowed.
