Details: As part of the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation on 6 February, the Ville de Luxembourg will be unveiling a photo exhibition that will be on display from Tuesday 9 to Saturday 27 February 2016 at the City Library.

The Ville de Luxembourg announced the exhibition as part of its policy of equality between men and women and its support of the fight against and awareness of the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM), which it claimed was an "often overlooked but always relevant" subject.

The exhibition opening will be held at 18:00 on Tuesday 9 February 2016 and will be attended by two Malian women, President of the Collectif des Femmes pour l'Éducation, la Santé Familiale et l'Assainissement (COESFA), Aminata Konaté, and COFESFA Head of Maternal Health Projects, Fatoumata Daou, who will speak on the practice of female circumcision which affects a female child every eleven seconds.

The exhibition will be available at Cité Bibliothèque, 3 rue Genistre, Tuesday-Friday between 10:00 and 19:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free.
