Details: The European Stability Mechanism is organising a conference with Jean-Claude Trichet, former ECB President, on ‘Economic, Fiscal and Financial Governance of the Euro Area: Lessons from the Crisis" at the Salle de Musique de Chambre in the Philharmonie in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Monday 15 February 2016 at 11:30.
Jean-Claude Trichet was President of the European Central Bank from 2003 to 2011. Previously he served as Governor of the Banque de France, Director of the French Treasury and Chairman of the Paris Club. Today he is a member of the Board of AIRBUS Group. Furthermore, Mr Trichet is Chairman of the Board of the European economic think tank Bruegel and of the Group of Thirty.
Klaus Regling is the Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and CEO of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF). He has worked as an economist in senior positions at the IMF, European Commission (as Director General for Economic and Financial Affairs) and German Ministry of Finance.
