Details:
Details: On Thursday, 14 January the ATOZ Chair for European and International Taxation at the University of Luxembourg, in cooperation with the ECJ Task Force of the “Confédération Fiscale Européenne”, is organising a whole-day conference on EU Tax Policy in the 21st Century.
Starting at 08:30, the conference will bring together scientists from all over Europe and discuss topics including: Tax Harmonization History, The External Competence of the EU in Tax Law, State Aid and Tax Policy, Economic Effects of EU Tax Jurisprudence and many more.
Over recent decades, EU tax policy has undergone a noticeable shift. After significant efforts towards the removal of obstacles to the internal market imposed by tax disparities among Member States, the focus has increasingly been on enhanced coordination of national tax policies with the primary aim to fight loopholes created by disparities that could be exploited by taxpayers.
This conference is dedicated to the exploration of these and further issues from an academic and practical perspective.
Venue: The event will take place at the University of Luxembourg, on Limpertsberg Campus, Tavenas lecture hall, 102, avenue Pasteur, 2310 Luxembourg.
