Details: The Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg is the stage on which the best dance crews will perform in the global festival of hip hop dance theatre that presents theatrical dance by companies and crews from around the world and around the corner.
On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June 2016, the festival is coming to the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg - the first European dates for Breakin' Convention. Expect a packed weekend of live dance performances, workshops, DJ demos, graffiti and cyphers.
The line-up includes: Ruggeds (Netherlands), Storm (Germany), Antoinette Gomis (France), Compagnie Wang-Ramirez (France/Korea), Birdgang Dance (UK), Kendra Horseburgh (Lux/UK) and many more to be confirmed.
Now open is the call for submissions from local dance companies, crews and artists that fall within a 2 hour driving radius of the theatre. There will be opportunities for graffiti artists, DJs and MCs and hip hop musicians to be involved as part of the festival programme - with foyer and outdoor events throughout the weekend.
