Wednesday 16 December 2015 will mark the last event of the year for Girls in Tech, with a visit to the Eppur si muove exhibition at the Grand Duke Jean Museum of Modern Art (MUDAM).

'Eppur si muove' ('And yet it turns') brings together around 70 pieces from throughout history, from the eighteenth century to the present day, to highlight the relationship between the visual arts and technology. 130 works by artists form a platform for the themes that have run through the domains of technology and science through the course of history. Spanning three sections, the exhibition is testament to the facets of the universe that humankind has attempted to tackle and understand.

The Girls in Tech visit will also allow participants to move from an examination of the past to a glimpse into the future through an interactive demo of Humanoid robots. 'CoRobots' represents the work of a research cell from the University of Luxembourg, which has focused on the question of art education in the museum of years to come and the robot's status as a potential art mediator. CoRobots is a project by the Interdisciplinary Centre for ICT Secruity, Reliability and Trust (SnT) in collaboration with the City of Luxembourg.

Participants will meet at 17:15 with the demo provided by Dr Patrice Caire at 17:30, with the visit continuing from 18:00. This will be followed by Christmas drinks and a get together at the Mudam Bar.

The entrance charge for the museum is €7 per ticket/per person, or €5 for groups. Drinks are not included in the price and participants must pay for their own drinks. To register, click here.
