Church Fair

The annual Anglican Church Fair is a fixture of the Summer calendar. As well as a major charity fundraiser, it is a social occasion that brings together the expatriate community with friends from the local Luxembourgish population. Useldange has been home to the Fair for 27 years now.

At the heart of the Fair is a mix of food, drink, entertainment, shopping and socialising, that would not be out of place in an English village fair… or indeed a Luxembourgish Grillfest.

There will be an entertainment programme too, with details nearer the date.

Old favourites including the Barbecue, Bar & “Champagne” Tent, Tea Tent, Home Produce, Ice Cream and Pancake stalls should provide for all tastes in food and drink.

And the range of shopping possibilities is just as wide, with stalls including Books, Bags & Baubles, CDs & DVDs, Plants, Toys & Games, Tombola…

To cater for younger children, there will be a Bouncy Castle. The family-friendly entertainment programme includes Children’s Races, the Dog Show and the ever-popular (plastic!) Duck Race – there will also be a range of activities organised by the guiding and scouting groups.

Once again, the day is set to be a high point of the summer season.
