On Friday 15 January 2016, rock quartet The Filthy Broke Billionaires will be releasing their first EP 'In God We Trust, The Others Pay Cash' at The Floor of the Rockhal.
With support acts from French group Dead Stereo Boots and Luxembourgish rock combo Fox, the performance forms part of the Rocklab's (Music & Resources Rockhal) initiative to support Luxembourg talents by producing their release show at the Rockhal. In this way, local bands and artists can draw on professional conditions to launch their CD, with support and supervision from the Rocklab team.
The Filthy Broke Billionaires have managed to create an explosive mix of different subgenres of rock, evoking whispers of the White Stripes or Rival Sons whilst maintaining their own musical style with combinations of heavy and funk rock and grunge. Despite having only been created in 2014, the group is composed of experienced musicians who have each played on both small stages and at large festivals and been on tour.
'In God We Trust, Others Pay Cash' is a reflection of modern society and how the band perceived it to have been degraded by money. Catchy riffs, furious beats and a powerful voice will all feature for this unique evening.
Doors will open at 20:00, with the concert expected to start at 20:30. Entrance costs €7.
